What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical/Dental Assistant position at FarView Professional Center, Family Dentistry?
We are looking for a mature, awesome and energetic, long term, team member who will make the dentist’s office more efficient, happy and pleasant for patients and staff. Dental/Medical assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be able to assist in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to assist in helping as a team member, in helping office procedures to go as smooth as possible. The position is full time, Monday -Friday. Paid holidays, paid vacation, sick leave, and bonuses. Healthcare reimbursement up to $200 monthly after 30 days.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort and taking vitals
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Chair side assisting with doctor involving periodontal, restorative and surgical procedures
- Ability to learn and take digital dental x-rays
- Sterilize instruments and patient room according to regulations
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies
- Assist with other duties as needed for general team operation of office

Skills
- 1 year experience as dental/medicalassistant (preferred), but we are willing to train the best individual
- Ability to conduct sterilization procedures
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to learn and perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills with ability to learn
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma (required)
- X-ray certification (preferred)
