Garden center team members play an important role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service. In this role you will understand the importance of having great customer service, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a good sense of retail operations. The position will have learning and advancement opportunities and will be geared towards further growth and career opportunities within FarWest.
Team Member Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent customer service by quickly greeting customers and assisting them in their selections
Receiving and merchandising plants throughout the nursery
Assist in maintaining the appearance of the nursery
Assist with nursery tasks that include cleanup, pruning and deadheading plants, spacing, merchandising, watering and weed control
Assisting with loading plants and materials
Being open and flexible to duties potentially not included in the job description
Team Member Skills:
Experience in retail (preferred)
Ability to interact with customers in a positive manner
Will be able to arrive on time and ready to work
Willingness to work in a fast paced environment and at times in inclement weather
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and walking
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Willingness to learn, we will train the right candidates.
This is a full-time, seasonal position (March through October), with hourly pay DOE.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
