About this position:
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift.
Wage Range: $19.65-$28.20 per hour, depending on experience.
Farwest’s Steel Production Department, which is located in Stockton, California, seeks a reliable and detail oriented individual to join their team as Equipment Operator 1. In this role, you will operate the Marvel Saw System at maximum machine efficiency, generating high part quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing general machine preventative maintenance.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Communicate with crane operators, machine operators, and parts processors to facilitate production and minimize downtime and maximize throughput in the warehouse.
- Review work instructions and verify consistency between batch ticket, and material, second size, part numbers, revision, process, material thickness/ grade.
- Verify Heat number with certification and follow certification procedure.
- Perform a first article inspection for thickness, measurements, and cut quality on each line item.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Experience with promoting a safe work environment through following company safety policies, as well as OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to actively participate in a dynamic metal processing team environment.
- Experience with following written and oral instructions, and ability to make mathematical calculations.

- High attention to detail and desire to ensure accuracy.
