Job Description :
The Internal Audit Manager performs financial, compliance, operational, and IT audits, as well as consulting projects, in accordance with professional standards The position reports to the Executive Director of Internal Controls and Management Analysis. The Internal Audit Manager plans and performs complex risk-based audits, internal control reviews, operational process reviews, risk assessments, and consulting projects for the college in accordance with professional standards. Verifies appropriate controls exist, processes are efficient and accurate, and operating procedures comply with laws, regulations, FIT policies, procedures, and best practices. Identifies value-added internal control and business process improvement opportunities designed to strengthen financial and IT related controls and to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Support the Executive Director developing and executing the annual audit plan which was approved the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees.
Prepares reports with findings and makes cost effective and value-added recommendations to mitigate the risks noted. Candidate must have proven experience executing multiple projects concurrently and engaging business partners to enhance operations and the control environment.

- Evaluates internal controls using a risk-based approach and responds to emerging financial, technology, and compliance issues. Identifies value-added internal control and business process improvement opportunities designed to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Prepares reports of findings and makes value added recommendations to resolve conditions noted.

- Documents the operational and / or financial processes, key risks, related controls, observations and recommendations in accordance with professional standards
- Demonstrates an appropriate level of oversight and guidance necessary to effectively complete the engagement. Monitors the project status through completion and updates the executive director and auditee. (project management)
- Assists with the college risk assessment
- Performs data analytics, and data mining as needed
- Performs periodic follow-up of previously reported audit findings to assess resolution of recommendations and determine if management has initiated adequate corrective action.
- Promotes positive working relationships by participating on committees / advisory groups, responding to management inquiries, providing training and educational programs, and assisting with implementation of project recommendations
- Other audit or consulting projects as assigned

Salary
Salary : $125,000 to $135,000 per year; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule
Days / Hours : M-F, 9am-5pm, in person; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The working conditions for this position will be primarily in an office space. The physical requirement for this position will require frequent sitting, occasional standing, occasional walking, and occasional lifting 10 lbs. to 20 lbs.
