Experienced Installer / Project Manager for window coverings

Position:Installer Project Manager , Window Coverings Blinds, Shades, Draperies

Location: Based in Orange County but driving to SouthBay Area as necessary

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

An Installer Project Manager for our custom window coverings business oversees the entire process, from initial client consultation and project planning to execution and final installation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This role often involves collaborating with designers, installers, and clients to address any issues that may arise during the installation process.

Installer / Project Management:

• Understandingwindow-covering scope of the sale (product, budget, time frame)
• Providing accurate measurements and site details
• Coordinate with GC timing requirements
• Track and forecast budgetary items and notify sales if changes occur.
• Participate in monthly Work In-Progress meeting with staff and President.
• Reviewing all projects, budgets, orders, timing, and installations, billing and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Managing fullcycle of project installation.
• Corresponds with client and coordinates site visits
• Installations of variety of custom window treatments such as Roller shades, roman shades, draperies, custom plantation shutters and electric shades for indoors and have a good understanding of our outdoor installations to mange our exterior contract installers
• Ability to excel in motorization installation and programming techniques with complex motorized products such as Lutron and Somfy.
• Provide our customers with a great customer service experience throughout each measure, install and service appointment with the support of our technical and admin team.
• Being pro-active and open to resolve any developing challenges coming up during installation to the best of your abilities with full support from our technical team members.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School degree or equivalent; degree from a technical/vocational school is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years experience in the window covering business and particularly, installation portion of it (blinds, shades, and drapery).
• A minimum 3 years of significant experience with the use of a common hand, and power tools including but not limited to power drill, level, anchors, and drill bits
• Ability to utilize computer applications such as Word and Excel

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven ability and experience accurately measuring within 1/8” with manual and laser measurers
• Significant customer service and in-home service experience
• Strong spoken and written communications skills
• Punctual, reliable and possesses a great work ethic and the highest level of integrity
• A strong understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, mobile devices and tablets
• Active driver’s license and insurable
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb up and down ladders up to 26’ in height

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients,and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Abilityto apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
