Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Assist with patient assessments and document medical histories accurately.
- Provide basic life support as needed and maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and other laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities in compliance with medical regulations.
- Support infection control measures, especially in infectious disease care settings.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in outpatient settings, urgent care, or emergency room environments is preferred.
- Strong skills in basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Competence in performing venipuncture and other clinical procedures safely.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of infectious disease protocols and best practices in patient management.
