Job Title: SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK

Hours/Work Days: 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday – Friday, 1/2 hour unpaid for lunch

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

To maintain and coordinate the responsibility of all outbound shipments, management of packaging materials, maintain inventory accuracies, process all sales orders. package product to be shipped. Process all shipments through various couriers as required or requested. Process customs paperwork if needed for International or APO. Duties can include but not limited to printing, sorting, assembling packaging, assembling products, quality checking merchandise before final departure, shipping merchandise, verifying, recording all tracking or BOL’s in SOS Inventory and/or updating customer service. Knowledge of SOS Inventory, Word, Excel, Processing all returns and warranties, receiving and logging them into the RMA or In process log. Assessing and determining availability on warranties, contacting customer or franchisee regarding options, contacting customer service with final disposition and finally processing return, obtaining credit card info if needed to process return. Handle the non-conformance returns. Accurately keeping records and all paperwork associated with sales, returns or warranties. Aid in other operational tasks such as material flow and cycle counts within the manufacturing department.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES

· Checking all office emails.

· Printing all daily orders in SOS Inventory and through Shopify.

· Match purchase orders to sales orders.

· Sort all sales orders.

· Assemble and prepare all packaging materials.

· Pull all product needed for orders.

· Final quality control inspection before it gets packaged i.e. fingerprints, stickers, booklets.

· Make sure the product is properly marked with relevant information, including part number, quantity, or UPC.

· Prepare, package, seal and attach sales order to package to assure accuracy.

· Log into SOS Inventory, UPS, Shopify, RMA/IN PROCESS log, stamps.com

· Process each package accordingly in shipping portals.

· Print labels with part numbers for replacement lenses and complete pairs.

· Ship on time or communicate any backorders with customer service.

· Log and update SOS Inventory or email tracking info.

· Sort outgoing packages into proper shipping courier areas/totes.

· Receive all incoming packages.

· Inspect incoming warranties or materials.

· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined storage procedures in the finish goods area.

· Perform cycle counts and assist in physical Inventory.

· Process pallets appropriately for larger shipments.

· Coordinate with Customer Service and logistics in day to shipments.

· Assist in other warehouse duties as required.

· Determine cost efficient means of shipping by comparing carriers.

· Order and maintain materials necessary to support all shipments.

· Prepare all export and customs documents as needed.

· Maintain appropriate records and logs.

· Communicate any shortages or overages to plant manager.

· Drop off all USPS packages, UPS picks up.

· Assist in other duties as needed.

· Sweep, mop and vacuum, dust office area.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements

• Must be familiar with foundational Microsoft Excel skills (filter list, simple formulas, find function, etc)

• Experience with ERP software.

• International Shipping.

• Ability to work with various printing software packages to create and update labels.

• Must be able to read and understand the open order report.

• Ability to work with minimum of supervision, including prioritizing of work.

Work environment (include physical requirements)

• Frequently required to sit and work at a computer/printer station.

• Employees are occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, talk and hear.

• Employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally required to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.

• The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
