Duties
- Operate cash registers, processing customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with any inquiries.
- Prepare food items as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Utilize math skills to accurately calculate totals and provide change to customers.
- Promote sales by suggesting additional items or specials to customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cash handling or as a cashier is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food preparation or food service is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
