Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
The Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare team.
- Leads clinic staff in behaviors, actions, and attitude in delivering excellent patient care.
- Ensures accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forwards charts as appropriate on a daily basis.
- Implements clinical protocols as outlined by CMO and Supervising Physicians.
- Maintains behavior compliant with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA.
- Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests and responsibly prescribes medications and educates patients on continued treatment and care of acute and chronic conditions.
- Performs therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care.
- Analyzes and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
This role requires at least 1-2 years of experience as a provider in a relevant practice, such as Urgent Care or Occupational Medical Facility, ER or Trauma Unit, Family Medical Practice. The ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in Nursing and be licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
