Job Description: Orthopedic Provider
In a manner consistent and supportive of our values, the Orthopedic Provider is responsible for delivering high quality health care within Fast Pace Health's scope of services while achieving optimum patient satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies.
- Treatment Planning: Monitor and manage the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Joint Aspiration: Perform joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections.
- Pain Management: Administer intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound.
- Immobilization: Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions.
- Cast Care: Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts. Educate patients on cast care and potential complications.
- Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Provide patients with detailed information about their orthopedic conditions. Offer guidance on home exercises, physical therapy, and activity modifications.
- Address patient questions and concerns, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation.
The Orthopedic Provider must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, committed to delivering exceptional patient care, skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, and provide comprehensive care from diagnosis through rehabilitation. They must have the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and is responsible for providing outstanding patient service.
