Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company recipes.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated according to food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
- Operate the Aloha POS system for processing orders efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and order accuracy.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food industry.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices and food safety standards is essential.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
