CUSTOMER SALES ASSOCIATE
Position Overview
The Customer Sales Associate reports to the Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will:
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English.
- Have the capability to work an assigned schedule.
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work.
WILLINGNESS TO:
The successful candidate will:
- Be proactive in asking customers if they are interested in purchasing additional items (“suggestive” or “plus” selling).

- Work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision and follow directions for tasks to be accomplished.
MENTAL CAPABILITIES:
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Efficiently process all sales transactions on a Point of Sale system and accurately account for all cash or other forms of payment, including providing correct change to customers.
- Accurately prepare daily paperwork and handle transactions such as lottery, money orders, money transfers, and other retail activities.
PHYSICAL ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will:
- Be exposed to temperature extremes in the walk-in cooler, freezer, and outdoors.
- Stand, stoop, and/or walk for an entire shift, with the ability to bend at the waist and twist as needed.
- Clean interior and exterior areas, including trash disposal and spill management.
- Reach, grasp, and manipulate objects with hands continuously throughout the day.
- Climb a ladder occasionally to store or retrieve materials or hang signage.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds from the ground to waist level occasionally.
- Routinely lift and carry up to 30 pounds from the ground to overhead (stocking shelves, cooler, etc.).
- Push and pull with arms at a force of up to 20 pounds (mopping, using a hand truck, etc.).
OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT:
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Efficiently operate all equipment in the store (POS system, fuel tanks, dispensers, etc.).
- Maintain property and equipment to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
- Follow all Company Safety and Loss Prevention procedures, including wearing appropriate safety equipment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
