Position Title: Manager
Reports To: District Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a high standard of service, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team, all while maintaining a customer-focused environment. The Manager is expected to be adaptable, handling both physical and mental responsibilities while leading by example. Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication.
• Able to work an assigned schedule consistently.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
• Capable of using all store equipment and systems related to the position.

Key Responsibilities:Customer Engagement and Sales:

• Proactively engage with customers, including offering additional product recommendations (“suggestive selling”) to increase sales.
• Maintain a professional, approachable demeanor with customers, vendors, and staff members.
• Uphold company policies and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Leadership & Staff Management:

• Recruit, hire, and retain motivated, enthusiastic employees, ensuring they provide outstanding customer service.
• Conduct regular training and development for staff, ensuring they understand and perform tasks according to company standards.
• Organize and assign daily responsibilities to ensure the store is clean, organized, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Schedule and lead periodic team meetings to discuss safety, marketing, promotions, and employee-related matters.

Operations & Financial Oversight:

• Accurately operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring proper handling of cash and payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, including making bank deposits, verifying inventory, and overseeing vendor check-ins.
• Monitor fuel pricing in line with company policy and ensure all financial transactions are accurately accounted for.
• Collaborate with the District Supervisor to establish budgets, manage financial performance, and maximize profitability.

Physical & Environmental Conditions:

• Work a minimum of 52 hours per week across a 6-day period.
• Perform tasks in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to both cold and hot temperatures (e.g., walk-in coolers, freezers, or outdoor environments).
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by regularly cleaning the store’s interior and exterior, including trash disposal and restroom upkeep.
• Physical tasks may include standing, stooping, bending, and occasional climbing (up to 20 pounds of force) to retrieve items or set up displays.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds (from ground to waist level) on occasion, and routinely lift up to 30 pounds overhead (for stocking purposes).

Equipment Management & Safety:

• Effectively utilize all store equipment, including POS systems and fuel dispensers, and troubleshoot basic technical issues as needed.
• Ensure that store property and equipment are well-maintained and functioning, providing a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Financial & Operational Understanding:

• Ability to interpret Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, with knowledge of merchandise gross profit, labor percentages, cash flow, and net profit.
• Work with the District Supervisor to establish and monitor budgets, sales targets, and overall store performance.
• Safeguard store revenue by ensuring accurate handling of cash and securing all monetary transactions.

The successful candidate will have a combination of interpersonal skills, leadership ability, and operational knowledge to help drive the success of the store while maintaining a focus on customer service and staff development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
