Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator for our office in Danville and will also be our float person to help as needed at our other west side offices. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their visit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient schedules, assisting with administrative tasks, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time for both patients and providers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide medical administrative support by handling insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and any necessary instructions.
- Assist in the management of office operations to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate patient care and address any concerns that may arise during visits.
- Stay informed about medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the office setting.
- Assist in patient collections
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable to enhance communication with healthcare professionals.
- Experience in providing medical administrative support will be beneficial for managing patient interactions effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
