Fastaff Travel Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Hospice for a travel nursing job in Bronx, New York.

BLS RequiredCovid and Flu are not requiredTwo (2) years of experience working an acute care setting; one (1) year of hospice experience preferred. Working knowledge of community servicesAbility to meet, collaborate and work efficiently with others in the community. Knowledge of entitlement programs.Active NY License RequiredRn will be traveling to patients homes and do intake paperwork to get the patients into Hospice.Each assessment could be 2-3hrs in length. Each RN will work 40hrs, which could also be on the weekends.If Rn is using their car, they will be reimbursed 70 cents a mile when traveling between appointments. The will not be reimbursed for getting to the original appointment of each day.If Rn doesn’t have a car and uses public transit they will be reimbursed the Metro Card.The Admissions Nurse is responsible for responding to and visiting patients who have been referred for admission to Calvary @Home. The Admissions Nurse informs the patients, caregivers and family members of the hospice services available with the organization and assesses the patient for admission to services. In addition, the Admissions Nurse is responsible for visiting current Calvary @Home patients who have been admitted to the hospital and communicates the patient status with the respective interdisciplinary team.The position is 9a-5p 5 days a week. Weekend coverage is required as well.
