OVERVIEW:
Working as International Business Compliance Support, you will enjoy the opportunity to assist business analysts in ensuring compliance with international digital reporting requirements and related regulations to support the growth initiatives of Fastenal's world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
oIdentifying, researching, and evaluating potential risks and regulatory changes related to digital reporting requirements and data compliance
oPreparing summaries, including organizational impact and risk analysis, on existing and upcoming regulatory issues
oWorking with information technology, indirect tax, finance, regional accounting teams, and others to assist in implementing required changes to system(s) and or business processes so that Fastenal may meet and maintain compliance in focus area(s)
oCompleting special projects and analysis
oPerforming other administrative tasks
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
oPossess or are working towards a degree in Accounting, Analytics, Business or related degree OR have relevant work experience in accounting, tax, law, and/or project management
oExcellent written and oral communication skills
oProficient using Microsoft Office Suite
oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
oDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
oDemonstrate attention to detail and sense of urgency
oHighly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
oLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
oWork independently as well as in a team environment
oDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
oPrior experience using PeopleSoft or other similar ERP system(s)
oPrior project management experience
