Responsibilities:
- Be the primary point of contact for internal inquiries relating to vendor delinquent parts
- Utilize the computer system and reporting system and printed documentation for control and identification of customer order requirements and forecast requirements.
- Contacts vendors to ensure that components and parts are supplied on specified shipping date. Contact may be made by e-mail, portal or telephone.
- May arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.
- Inform the sales and production teams of likely dates for availability of all parts being progressed.
- Status product through all stages of purchasing ensuring the urgency is understood by all people involved.
- Receive and action specific requests for expediting. Regularly review the outstanding requirements of the customers, production, and sales.
- Where appropriate, provide feedback to internal customer requirements.
- Other expedite or purchasing support roles such as order acknowledgement and confirmations.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school Diploma required, further education preferred
- 1-2 years of Expeditor, Purchasing or Planning experience in the aerospace industry
- Excel proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task, and work well under pressure with changing priorities
