WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
What You’ll Do
- Screen customers, suppliers, and transactions using denied party lists and restricted country screening tools.
- Classify products and technologies under USML and CCL; determine ECCNs, HTS codes, and Schedule B numbers.
- Apply for and manage export licenses, agreements, and exemptions with U.S. government agencies (e.g., DDTC, BIS).
- Review sales orders and shipping documentation to verify proper authorizations.
- Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and shipping departments to ensure compliant documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, AES filings).
- Maintain and audit records of export transactions and product classifications in accordance with regulations.
- Deliver export compliance training tailored to departmental needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert to internal teams, providing guidance on compliance topics.
- Support the development of a strong compliance culture across the organization.
- Conduct internal audits of export activities and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Assist in responding to external audits or government inquiries.
- Maintain and update the company’s export compliance manual and internal procedures.
- Work with Engineering, Legal, Quality, Operations, and Contracts to review export classifications and controls.
- Monitor changes in international trade regulations and evaluate potential impacts to operations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5 years of export compliance experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or electronics industries.
- Compliance certifications such as CUSECO or ITAR/EAR certification preferred.
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- ITAR Requirement
- 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
