POSITION SUMMARY

What you’ll be doing : We are hiring a Credentialing Specialist to be responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for all medical providers who provide patient care at FastMed Urgent Care and CareSpot | MedPost in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies , state specific requirements, company policies and management service agreements. Responsible for ensuring providers are credentialed, appointed and privileged with health plans and patient care facilities. Maintain up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems including licenses and certifications.

What you’ll bring to the table : High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; Two (2) years of relevant credentialing experience required. Knowledge of MODIO credentialing software preferred. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and / or Provider Enrollment Specialist Certificate (PESC) preferred

A few requirements :

  • Graduate of one of the following programs : Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A only), Paramedic, or another relevant program; or possesses active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation
  • Certification : BLS American Red Cross is required; American Safety Health Institute, or National Safety Council are preferred.
