We are looking for a Graphic Designer and Sign Production Specialist who possesses the maturity, passion, and energy to collaborate with others on the team. A Successful FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer and Sign Production Specialist Will :
Graphic Design Functions
Create computer-generated full-color graphics and / or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and appliedComplete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to mediaDetermine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurateMaintain customer logo library; convert graphic filesSign Production Specialist Functions
Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or mediumPrepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etcWeed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of imagesOperate and maintain printer(s)Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standardsPerform finishing operations such as laminating and / or mounting of printed piecesReport inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager / production manager or franchisee.Clean and maintain storage areasIdeal Qualifications and Experience for FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer and Sign Production Specialist :
1-2 years of graphic design experience required1-2 years in sign production preferredHigh School diploma or equivalentProficient in Adobe IllustratorAbility to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)Ability to lift 50 or more poundsFlexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrateAbility to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality workAbility to use light power equipmentAbility to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomouslyDetermine the best output method based on the customer’s needsSit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more)Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality workCompensation Targe : 20.00 to 25.00 / per hour benefits PTO
