What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead DevOps Engineer position at FastTek Global?
Experience Required:
- Experience 10 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or a similar software engineering role.
- 3 years in a leadership role leading a team of DevOps or software engineers.
- Experience with embedded systems build and development process preferred.
Objectives of this role:
- Lead of Team of DevOps Engineers to maintain, support and enhance our CICD practices.
- Implementing and maintaining new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure.
- Understanding the changing needs of developers and translating them into action items.
- Creating new ways to automate and improve the Continuous Integration process.
- Testing and examining code written by others
- Identifying technical problems and developing updates and fixes
- Working with other teams in the organization to ensure adherence to our best practices
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
- Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration
- Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed
- Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues
- Develop automation to enhance current processes
- Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Skills Required:
- A strong foundation in System Engineering and Administration in Linux/Windows
- Experience with one or more of the following scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python
- Experience with one or more of the following Version Control/Repository Management tools: Git, GitHub, GitLab
- Experience with one of the following CICD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Circle-CI
- Experience with one or more of the following Observability tools: Prometheus, Graphana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Lens
- Experience with one or more of the following log management tools: Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, FluentD
- Experience with one or more of the following Configuration Management tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
- Experience with one or more of the following Cloud Platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure
Education Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other applicable degree.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
