Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience at the academy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook healthy and balanced meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines and nutritional standards.
- Plan weekly menus in collaboration with staff, ensuring a variety of options that accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Monitor food supplies and assist with inventory management to ensure all necessary ingredients are available.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive dining experience for children.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
Qualifications:
- Experience in cooking and meal preparation, preferably in a childcare, school, or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition, dietary guidelines, and food safety practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively.
- Certification in food safety or willingness to obtain one.
