Assistant Manager/Sales Associate

Reports to: General Manager and Shop Owners

Job Summary: The Assistant Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the ice cream shop to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote good customer service and work ethic in employees and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies.
• Serve customers with excellent customer service, keeping up with a fast-paced work environment, addressing Guest needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term Guest relationships.
• Train and oversee staff during daily operations.
• Help with discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
• Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
• Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Keeps inventory up-to-date by preparing baked goods.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Qualifications:
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• At least 1 year experience Front of House Operations and / or experience as an Assistant Manager in a related industry.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, employees and guests.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to work weekend and evening shifts.
• Must be self-disciplined, take initiative, have leadership ability, and must be outgoing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.50 - $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
