Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service. You will manage the front of the house operations, including greeting guests, managing reservations, and processing payments. Your ability to communicate effectively and help guests will create a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Take orders accurately and enter them into the Toast POS system.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front area, including menus and dining materials.
- Assist with any guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
Skills
- Strong background in hospitality and food service is preferred.
- Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent guest services skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service in a restaurant setting.
