Job Description:

FATAMORGANA’s mission is to provide top-quality authentic Italian gelato that’s crafted by skilled artisans who only use natural ingredients, without the addition of any semifinished industrial product.

As a FATAMORGANA Gelato Scooper you will be delivering an exceptional gelato experience while exceeding customer expectations. You will share product knowledge and enthusiasm with our customers by answering any questions, assisting with product suggestions, educating and exposing them to products of interest and gelato culture.

We are looking for positive-minded and enthusiastic applicants ready to join our new STUDIO CITY location team. Prior restaurant/cafe experience is a plus.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service while demonstrating a passion for our food
• Scanning products, processing credit cards and cash handling and reporting
• Providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
• Washing, cleaning and preparing of fruit and vegetables according to food safety procedures
• Following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Cleaning and maintaining Gelato display equipment, Espresso coffee machine, the general store facility, restrooms and kitchen areas
• Positive Attitude

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Proven interest in food with particular interest in healthy, genuine, authentic products
• Requires the ability to bend and perform normal job functions i.e. stooping, kneeling, reaching
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to exert 25 pounds of effort to push or pull a cart and the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holiday
• Some cash handling and customer service experience preferred
• Respect for Safety & Hygiene standards
• California Food Handling Card
• Willingness to wear FATAMORGANA uniform clothes, cover or remove piercings, tattoos, necklaces that appear too invasive or such as to overwhelm the customer’s appearance.

Minimum age: 18 years old

Mimimum instruction: High School Diploma
