Position Summary :
The environmental specialist is responsible for the internal and external upkeep and cleanliness of assigned Father Bill’s & Main Spring owned or operated properties throughout the south shore. The environmental specialist maintains safe and hazard-free living and working conditions in all buildings. This is a Full-time / 40 hours per week position reporting to the Facilities Manager. 1 years of experience in property upkeep preferred.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Performs a range of housekeeping duties to maintain a clean interior and exterior environment throughout assigned properties.
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Facilities Manager for immediate resolution
- Maintains daily cleaning of assigned properties.
- Basic tasks include, but are not limited to : sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, dusting, and the cleansing of any and all designated objects / areas.
- Operate vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, buffers and wall washing equipment including any other power machinery as instructed.
- Maintains stock of all housekeeping supplies in assigned areas and maintains housekeeping closets and equipment.
- Performs daily floor care maintenance.
- Sets up and cleans meeting rooms.
- Collects and disposes of trash and waste (both infectious and non-infectious) as needed.
- Cleans, disinfects and sanitizes items such as bathroom sinks, floor, and shower (if applicable); fill soap dispenser, and paper towel and tissue dispensers.
- Communicates to supervisor any repairs needed and submit appropriate work orders.
- Follows established safety procedures.

Safety & Security : Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
Travel : Local travel is required. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
