Security Analyst
Seeking a Security Analyst to support our WASA team. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow from senior level Cybersecurity Engineers. The entry to mid-level position requires information technology experience in the methods, procedures and actions required to protect and secure information systems hardware and software against malicious and damaging attacks and actions. The successful candidate should have experience or an awareness of utilizing cybersecurity tools, network topologies, and software or other intrusion detection methods. Understanding of the basics of Web Application Penetration and Intrusion Testing software and methods, specifically OWASP, and the deployment of safe and secure systems based on sound design and implementation techniques. This is a full-time position located in the Austin, TX area.
Location- Austin Texas
Work from home NOW with the eventually working a few days onsite. No timeframe provided. Must reside within driving range to Austin Texas a few days a week or willing to relocate without relocation assistance.Required Skills
- Able to utilize cyber security industry standard methods in providing secure systems
- Knowledge in Cyber Security Tools, Network topologies
- Knowledge of implementation and security levels and roles necessary for successful deployment
- Will be required to scan, monitor and report on system vulnerabilities
- Will work in close contact with the Information Security Office in surveillance of user, software and network assets for appropriate use and enterprise-wide protection
- Must Stay abreast of current cyber security trends relevant to the client's business and system security
- Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge with a desire to grow
- Must be willing to learn Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or engineering discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years experience or an awareness of utilizing cybersecurity tools, network topologies, and software or other intrusion detection methods.
- Understanding of the basics of Web Application Penetration and Intrusion Testing software and methods, specifically OWASP, and the deployment of safe and secure systems based on sound design and implementation techniques.
- Must be able to receive a Security Clearance/Public Trust
