Position Summary :
Pre-inspects quality of fabricated parts and loads and unloads for paint line process. Delivers painted parts to internal assembly lines.
Performs routine procedures following written work instructions to complete manufacturing processes. Maintains documentation on manufacturing processes to comply with organization and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities :
Insure all parts are hung in the proper color order Verify that the proper part number, quantity, color and destination is present.
Removes painted items and visually inspects for any defects and proper coverage. Touch up small defects as needed.
Utilizes different protective supplies to make certain all parts delivered to the next operation are free of any dings / dents, scratches, and scuff marks. Delivers finished goods to manufacturing lines or stores in designated racks.
Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations online as requested by supervisor. Cross training and flexibility required.
Performs all duties using required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and practices within guidelines of ISO standards, quality, and safety. Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety and efficiency.
Engages, initiates, and suggest initiatives that support team goals and continuous improvement in process.
Communicates effectively within other departments to relay key information. Open to and asks for suggestions of others regarding production issues and goals.
Minimum Qualifications :
Requires high school diploma or GED.
Standing, bending, reaching and handling bulky parts is common to the job. Frequently lifts up to 35 pounds.
Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.
Preferred :
6 months to 1 year Manufacturing experience preferred.
