Faulkner University's College of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Clinical Counselor for the Faulkner Mental Health Center. This individual will provide counseling and a range of other therapeutic, and/or case management services for individuals with an emphasis on Veterans: individuals, groups and/or families. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month clinical position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Summary of Duties:
- Provides counseling, testing and assessment to clients, individuals, and families
- Prepares treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care referrals
- Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or similar degree in counseling from a regionally accredited university required
- Licensed in Alabama or eligible for licensure in Alabama within 90 days of hire required
- Minimum of 2 years clinical mental health counseling experience preferred
- Active member of the church of Christ preferred
