Faulkner University is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Director, Student Activities for the Student Services department. The selected individual will supervise, plan and coordinate activities designed for our students; supervise and manage student organizations ensuring sustainability and dynamic experiences for students, members and advisors; oversee the day-to-day operations and care of Tine W. Davis Gym/Student Multiplex; and coordinate the Intramural Program. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position. Frequent evening and weekend hours as required.
Summary of Duties:
- Supervise personnel and activities of the Student Activities department, gym and student multiplex
- Oversee and manage the process of approving student-related activities on and off campus
- Supervise all activities of the Intramural Sports program
- Participate in planning efforts for a campus-wide leadership development conference for all student leaders
- Supervise and mentor all Student Government Association (SGA) and social club processes
- Serve as advisor of the SGA, social clubs and the Interclub Council
- Implement ongoing training and leadership development program for student leaders/officers of student organizations
- Coordinate activities and events related to Homecoming and university social club events
- Provide fiscal budget controls for department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred
- Active member of the church of Christ
