Fauquier County’s Department of Community Development is seeking a qualified applicant for a full-time permanent Administrative Associate position in the Zoning/Development Services Division. Primary responsibilities include a wide array of administrative duties such as answering telephones, file management, greeting clients, providing information to the public, scheduling meetings, processing mail, and coordinating the processing of a variety of land development applications.
The successful candidate will possess strong secretarial/organizational skills, the ability to meet established deadlines, be selfmotivated, detail oriented and reliable. Excellent writing, communication, and client management skills through personal and telephone contact are essential. Knowledge of land development and/or local government experience preferred. Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by at least two years’ experience in an office environment.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
