What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Fauquier County Public Schools?
Considerable knowledge of child growth and development; must possess the ability to develop a high-quality, age appropriate curriculum to successfully engage children and foster physical, emotional, cognitive and social development; comprehensive knowledge of state law and regulations; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University is required; must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in Pre-Kindergarten. Dual certification in PreK and ECSE preferred.
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
