Community Outreach & Marketing Specialist - PRN

The Community Outreach and Marketing Specialist will plan and support the Marketing Department with a variety of internal and external initiatives and events. Persons in this position must be comfortable handling multiple projects in fast-paced environment and be comfortable working with community and internal stakeholders in a variety of settings.

• Works with key team members to plan and support community outreach. Collaborates with the marketing director to ensure that strategic goals related to reputation management, messaging and key audiences are met.
• Networks with community members and programs to establish relationships that maximize participation in community outreach programs.
• Serves as team lead for system volunteers, including recruitment, scheduling, engagement, and appreciation, as well as tracking volunteer hours and expenses related to the program.
• Maintains community events calendars. Ensures proper volunteer and staff presence and coordinates logistics.

Minimum Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, journalism, communication, marketing, or related field of study)

Required Skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Minimum Work Experience
Preferred - Health care environment, customer service, marketing, community outreach or event coordinator, or similar work experience.

Required Skills
Working knowledge or experience with Adobe Design Products is preferred (includes InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
