Description
The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the health care setting to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part.
- Attains and maintains knowledge of appropriate growth and development principles relative to the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. Incorporates knowledge and principles into the care of various patient populations.
- Attends and participates in patient care coordination meetings, team and family conferences, as needed.
- Prepares complete written evaluation for patient’s chart using objective information and concise language. Completes necessary documentation accurately and according to departmental guidelines.
- Maintains an organized schedule and strives to meet deadlines. Provides comfort and supportive care to the patient at all times. Maintains patient privacy and safety.
