Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring. Provides receptionist and clerical duties to support the coordination of services on the unit.
- Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
- Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
- Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties to support efficient operations. Prepares and maintains medical records to include chart forms necessary for admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Minimum Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience
X Preferred - Previous healthcare experience, particularly in telemetry.
Required Skills
X Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (may be obtained week of orientation)
X Completion of hospital based Telemetry course (assigned week of orientation)
