Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities
Forvia is seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Madison, MS seating plant. This role will involve monitoring, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting ongoing plant projects. As a key member of the Forvia team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical, PLC, and overall plant operations.
Overall Responsibilities And Duties
Monitoring and Installation of control systems and work in plant including installations, projects and routine troubleshooting. To implement and suggest continuous improvement ideas concerning electrical, plc and overall plant operations while inputting feedback as a member of the Faurecia Team.
The Main Missions Of The Role Are
Testing, maintaining and modifying existing Siemens Step 7/TIA Portal systems;
Analyzing data and presenting findings in written reports;
Implementation of new projects; including line balancing, performing Hosin’s, PFMEAS, line balancing and control plan updates.
Working collaboratively with process engineers, operations, maintenance and other internal staff;
Training of electrical, plc’s and specialty equipment to increase maintenance abilities;
Troubleshooting and problem-solving;
Serves as technical expert/resource to the manufacturing plant maintenance departments, Technical Support Group and Technical Support Representatives for the commercial dealer systems
Writing PLC programs and test procedures;
Represents the company in contacts with outside suppliers of equipment, services and systems
Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive sector.
Experience in industrial production settings with a strong focus on control systems.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
Experience with WinCC.
Strong knowledge of production system efficiency basics.
Familiarity with project management processes.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
