We are looking for a Program Safety Leader for the Accelera program to join our team!
Our Faurecia Hydrogen Solutions team is looking for a Program Safety Leader, Accelera for its R&D Center based in Farmington Hills, MI.
As a Program Safety Leader, you are in charge of planning and execution of Product Safety Activities applied in a project for development of Faurecia Hydrogen Solutions Products named Hydrogen Storage Systems (HSS). He / She is responsible of product safety risks management and mitigation within the project team on a customer product development.
You will be working on challenges that matter
This job will require you to:
- Drive the safety impact analysis of the project and the realization of the related safety activities in coherence with FCM standards
- Plan, maintain, and drive the safety activities for the product and its safety-related elements in a project safety plan coherent with the core team development plan
- Execute or contribute to execution of safety analyses (HARA, Safety Concepts, FMEAs, …) within the framework of Faurecia methods
- Check the cascading of safety requirements resulting from safety studies for the system and its elements, as well as to suppliers
- Support the development team in the implementation of safety concepts on system, components level
- You are the direct contact person for customers and for project to coordinate the requirements and deliverables relative to safety
- Verify that safety risks are covered by adequate design/validation/process actions and adherence is monitored. You check confirmation of compliance of results with safety requirements
- Participate to Project Milestones and Gate Reviews for Safety Advice, providing an evaluation of maturity and conformity of results.
- Responsible of identifying and communicating to management the critical issues of the project regarding safety risks, and to supervise corrective actions with the project team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Faurecia Safety processes and to spread safety culture within organization.
The ideal candidate:
Qualifications
- Minimum Education Level: Master's degree in Engineering
Experience
- Min. 6 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
- Several Years of Experience in management and execution of Product Safety Studies and Reliability Studies as safety engineer for multi-physics systems
- Experience in project management
- Experience in compressed hydrogen technology would be a bonus
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge about product safety requirements and methods (Hazard Analysis, FTA, FMEAs at different level, safety measures implementation in systems, safety requirements validations)
- Good awareness of ISO26262 or equivalent functional/system safety approach used as a reference in North America context
- Above average communication skills, leadership skills and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in global team, located in different places, International mindset, and experience
- At ease with managing activities and issues at different time scales and different complexity levels
- Ability to organize and “get things done”, good in communication
- English language skills required (professional level), French as a plus
