Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct repairs on various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve complex automotive problems.
- Align vehicles to manufacturer specifications using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repair options.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in automotive repair with a strong background in automotive diagnostics.
- Proficiency in working with hand tools and welding equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in automotive service are preferred but not required.
