About Favareli:
Our design school works with children (8-16) and adults. Our purpose is to make learning more interesting and joyful, and help students to open their designer talents, teach them skills that they will need in their adult life and define a career before selection of subjects in a high school.
We support protection of environment and rational consumption, so designers of future times not only create clothes but change thinking of people who choose clothes.
We have 10 years of successful history in Ukraine and are starting on US market now. Our office is located in Wheeling, IL.
Role: Teaching children fashion design
You will get a chance to give chidren confidence in their strengths and talent, teach them technics of fashion sketch, color perception, base needlework. You’ll give your students 2-4 joyful hours a week, where they will learn not only practical skills but also world history of fashion, presenting their creations and other interesting things.
As a teacher, your role will be to:
- prepare and conduct class programs
- demonstrate practical skills of fashion sketch
- tell students about world history of fashion, past and modern fashion designers
- explain technics of needlework – manual and with sewing machines
- check homework and provide feedback
- help students to create and present their first fashion collections
- episodically, lead field trips to local fashion studios and factories
Who you are:
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply.
Minimum requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to demonstrate practice skills in fashion sketch.
- At least basic knowledge of world fashion history, and desire to self-educate
- Basic creation of presentations
- Basic skills of sewing
- A lot of patience and a passion for working with kids.
Preferred:
- Have created own models of clothes before
- Have taught fashion or sketch before
- One or more language in the following list: Ukrainian, Russian, Polish at intermediate or higher level

The process:
- Initial application form (5 minutes)

- Accepted into training (1-4 hours)
- Final interview (30 minutes)
- Hired and teaching your first group of students
Location: Wheeling, IL. You would work at this exact location, a few minutes walk from the village administration and the train station. Remote option is not available at the moment.
