Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, including the ability to read blueprints and manage projects effectively. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are finished to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality and durability of our construction projects.
We are also looking for laborers also. But mainly finisher and a Forman / superintendent in training. We are very easy to get along with and good guys get treated absolutely phenomenally. Possibility for company, truck and a fuel card. And a ton more opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from blueprints and project specifications to determine the layout and finish requirements for concrete surfaces.
- Prepare and set up forms for pouring concrete, ensuring they are level and secure.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to project specifications, utilizing various tools and equipment.
- Finish surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and other finishing equipment to achieve desired texture and appearance.
- Supervise junior team members and assist in training new hires on best practices in concrete finishing techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Prolog for project tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Experience using construction management software, including ProCore or Prolog, is highly desirable.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar software for document management is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
