Director, Product Marketing

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for working with our Product, Brand, and Marketing teams to shape the vision and positioning of our products for customers and Runners (that’s what we call our delivery drivers) and merchants. You will have a pulse on the competitive landscape within the technology and on-demand sectors, and will use this knowledge to inform product and marketing decisions. The ideal candidate can bring strong experience in both B2C and B2B businesses to help position Favor as the right service for all sides of our marketplace while differentiating us from our competitors.

• Scale the current product marketing function to support customer, runners and merchants
• Establish a B2B product marketing function including sales enablement to accelerate the acquisition of new merchant/restaurants onto Favor
• Work with our channel and brand strategy teams to develop messaging and product marketing strategies that differentiate Favor from its competition in the on-demand industry through a variety of programs, messaging, and product recommendations
• Create a playbook for product launches that maximizes awareness, adoption, and comprehension of strategic product releases while managing the cross-functional implementation of the plan
• Establish and champion best practices in product marketing strategy, internal alignment and cross-functional planning and communication
• Determine gaps in customer and market insights and create insights plans to close gaps. This will include briefing in research, distilling insights from across the company and systematically sharing to build a common understanding and influence company strategies
• Establish collaboration channels between Product Marketing and Creative teams to develop copy and visuals for product and gtm launches emails, push notifications, and promotional materials
• Establish and lead cross-functional teams to design and implement product marketing initiatives and workflow changes, including communications and appropriate launch plans for all stakeholders involved
• Lead a small but mighty team by creating an inspiring and empowering work environment for team members to thrive by defining clear career paths and identifying individual growth opportunities

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field 
• 8 years of product marketing experience and 4 years of experience managing a team
• Experience in technology and consumer apps
• A proven track record of creating effective marketing programs
• The ability to develop programs across the variety of channels and audiences that Favor engages with (Runners, customers, desktop users, app users, etc.)
• Excellent time management and project prioritization skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment

• You have expert written and verbal communication skills
• You have the ability to propose creative solutions for an industry that is still relatively new and constantly evolving
• You have the ability to synthesize data, form hypotheses, develop insights, and propose actionable solutions
• You have a strong understanding of the various functional aspects of a marketing organization
• You are a self-motivated, creative, and analytical individual who thrives on the ability to have an impact in a fast-paced environment
