Go ahead, find your favorite.The Technical Designer for Favorite Daughter should be highly motivated, meticulous with details and driven by the technical aspect of the design process. This position entails maintaining established fits as well as understanding spec adjustments for new fabrics in different seasons. The development process requires a creative eye to notice and call out innovative ideas to enhance the design before going into production. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Design to maintain processes and up-keep of fit logs and deadlines.Major Responsibilities : Proficient knowledge of POM’s and how to accurately spec garmentsLog / track sample maintained by fit lists for your categoryPrep and evaluate samples to ensure previous comments have been executedLead fittings with clear and accurate knowledge of history and how to execute the commentsWrite clear and accurate comments to relay to vendors so they understand the directionUnderstanding of fit stages and how to effect seasonal deliveries / deadlines successfullyManage clear daily communication with all necessary cross functional teams and overseas vendors.Create / establish initial specs based on existing body blocks in order to uphold their aesthetic for fit and silhouette; including measurements, construction details and technical sketches.Collaborate with Design and corresponding teams to determine fit and priorities to meet timelinesOur Best Fit Candidate Would Have : Basic understanding of garment construction and techniquesBasic understanding of patterns and how to relate this to fit and comment assessmentAbility to accurately spec garmentsStrong attention to detail and extensive knowledge with inner componentsAbility to multi-task with effective organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated team playerFlexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environmentProactive with problem solving and seeks input for optimum resolutions as needed.College degree or equivalent experience in related field (Product Development, Fashion Design, Buying, Tech Design or Merchandising)5 -7 years of experience in related field (Technical Design, Pattern Making or Design)Proficient in Excel / Microsoft Office SuitePrevious training / experience with industry-relevant software, such as web-based t / p systemsBasic hands-on knowledge of sewing and / or basic Gerber knowledgeIn return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401 (k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership.Salary Range : $74,900-$95,000At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent.#J-18808-Ljbffr
