What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Sander / Metal Finish position at FAWN MANUFACTURING INC?
As a Metal Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the surface quality and finish of our metal cabinets and steel products meet the highest standards. You will work with various tools and techniques to polish, buff, and finish metal surfaces, removing any defects or imperfections to create a flawless final product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions
- Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
- Ensure work is done safely and meets acceptable quality and speed
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Required to wear PPE
- Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to supervisor
- Run air tools including grinder and sander
- Perform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
- Desire to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
- Follow all company rules and policies

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Adequate communication skills; verbal and written
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Ability to run air tools including grinder and sander
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically able to do bending, twisting, gripping, grasping and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Physically able to stand for up to 8 hours
- Requires good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to move large doors on and off carts and onto tables and move cabinets around
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience/combined education.
Monday- Friday: Summer Schedule 6:00AM-2:30PM
Starting Wage: $17.22/ hour
