Position Overview : The Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, processing, and distribution of incoming packages, parts and goods and coordinating storage activities.
This role ensures accurate handling of goods, efficient communication with forklift drivers, and proper documentation while supporting clerical tasks, customer communication, and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities : Open incoming packages and inspect contents for accuracy and quality.Tag packages with appropriate paperwork for repairs, credits, or inventory.Disperse packages to designated areas or departments.Instruct and direct forklift drivers for the proper storage of incoming parts and goods.Handle UPS package refusals and returns as necessary.Provide general office assistance and clerical support, including filing paperwork.Communicate with customers via phone or email to resolve inquiries and provide updates.Assist in shipping activities, including packing and labeling.Support inventory tasks, such as stock counting, audits, storage, and organization.
