Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient conditions, responding appropriately.
- Perform IV insertion, venipuncture, and phlebotomy as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Provide support in behavioral health situations or trauma medicine when necessary.
Skills
- Proficient in performing vital signs monitoring, IV insertion, venipuncture, and phlebotomy.
- Knowledgeable in behavioral health practices and trauma medicine protocols.
- Strong understanding of coding procedures related to patient care documentation (ICD-10).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
