Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our dynamic healthcare team at a Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical unit, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Perform catheterization and assist with various diagnostic procedures, including mammography.
- Conduct gastric lavage as needed for patient management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Support patients with behavioral health needs through compassionate communication and intervention.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care settings preferred, particularly within a medical/surgical environment.
- Proficient in medication administration and familiar with various medical procedures.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
