Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients in critical situations. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the emergency setting.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage incoming patients based on severity of condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide ostomy care, pain management, and health coaching to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage cases effectively, ensuring continuity of care for patients transitioning from emergency services.
- Utilize durable medical equipment (DME) appropriately and educate patients on its use.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes in compliance with hospital policies.
- Uphold basic life support (BLS) standards during emergency situations.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in an emergency room or critical care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with geriatrics and case management practices is a plus.
- Strong ability to lift patients safely and provide physical support as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
