Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine healthcare needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and preventive care practices.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including workers' compensation law and occupational health standards.
- Provide support for family planning and infant care when applicable.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in home health, hospital settings, or related fields is preferred.
- Proficient in medical terminology and patient assessment techniques.
- Experience administering injections is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with family planning practices is a plus.
