Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Home Health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and administering treatments as prescribed. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper medication administration protocols are followed.
- Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient conditions.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Assist with procedures such as injections, spinal taps, and ventilator management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems like Epic.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices in trauma medicine and acute care settings.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and monitoring vital signs.
- Experience in trauma medicine, acute care, or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) settings is preferred.
- Ability to perform procedures such as injections and spinal taps competently.
- Familiarity with operating room (OR) protocols is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
