Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patient conditions to develop individualized care plans.
- Perform acute pain management techniques and interventions to alleviate patient discomfort.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures and collaborate with radiology staff for accurate diagnostics.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in the catheterization process as needed, ensuring sterile techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in the Nursing Home setting when necessary for continuity of care.
- Stay current on best practices in esthetic laser treatment and family planning as part of holistic patient care.
Experience
- A valid Registered Nurse license is required; ICU experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) protocols is essential; advanced certifications are a plus.
- Experience in pediatric nursing, particularly toddler care, is beneficial for family-centered approaches in the ICU.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments are crucial for success in this role.
